Knowledge Management

Knowledge Management goes beyond technology. Knowledge Management starts with the process of discovery, creation of knowledge, dissemination, transfer or transmission of such knowledge, as well as the utilization or application of such knowledge.

Within an Agency, knowledge resides or exists in various places such as: documents (including structured and unstructured), databases, filing cabinets and most importantly peoples’ heads. The creation, identification, application, transfer and management of such knowledge within an Agency require a methodical approach.

Our Knowledge Management Framework provides Agencies with the appropriate guide in effective knowledge management and it covers the following processes:

•    identifying what knowledge assets an Agency possesses;
•    analysing how the knowledge can add value to the Agency’s operations;
•    specifying what actions are necessary to achieve better usability & added value; and
•    reviewing the use of the knowledge to ensure added value.
